Rosemary regularly appears in the District Court on a wide range of criminal matters and assists with criminal proceedings in the High Court. 

While studying at university, Rosemary interned at MC and worked as a Law Clerk in the legal division of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Recent Cases & Achievements

Rosemary was jointly awarded the 2023 NZ Law Association Writing Prize for her article ‘Blurred Lines and Stripped Legal Rights: The Application of Law in the Workplace Exploitation of Strippers’ published in the 2023 edition of the New Zealand Women’s Law Journal.

Rosemary’s Honours dissertation was titled ‘For the Good of Mankind: Contributing to the Critique on Humanitarian Disarmament in the Context of Pacific Nuclear Testing’. This paper undertook an analysis of how humanitarian disarmament reinforced existing power structures in the context of nuclear weapons and in light of the 2017 Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
