About
Zara prosecutes a wide range of crime in the Auckland area, and regularly appears in the District Court. She has acted as junior on a number of trials, including sexual violence trials.
Zara works closely with the Local Government team on a wide range of matters.
Prior to joining MC, Zara studied at the University of Auckland. She has also studied in China (2016) and Mexico (2020) on scholarships, as well as France in 2023.
Recent Cases & Achievements
At university Zara wrote her Honours dissertation on how historic and contemporary international narratives about China are escalating conflict in the South China Sea region.
Zara also received the Buddle Findlay Prize in Contract Law and the Faculty of Law Dean’s Academic Excellence Award.
